| By three, children’s attention spans and communication skills are improving rapidly. They have words for nearly everything and you’ll be able to understand almost all of them. Three year olds are also becoming aware of social rules and polite words like "please". It’s not unusual for them to concentrate on activities for eight or nine minutes at a time.Your child will want to ‘help’ you, so offer small jobs. At this age, children take pride in being a helper and a contributing member of the household. |
